for ruling the two same-sex civil marriages void and insubstantial
The Rhodes prosecutor, Giorgos Oikonomou, [following strict orders of the high prossecutor, mr Sanidas] against
the same-sex couples that got married in Tilos on June 3rd and the mayor Tasos Aliferis, seeking to declare the marriages insubstantial and inexistent.
at the Rhodes court of first instance, the hearing is open to everyone and you're wellcome to attend.

June 10th, 2008, Athens: The Court of first instance hearing on the case of three persons from Lesbos island against OLKE, claiming the exlusive usage of the adjective "lesbian" for the islanders of Lesbos, excluding any usage for anyone & anyhing not connected to their islland (on their definition of this), and especially excluding the word usage for homosexual women. They declared to the Athens press they are going to pursue this claim to international courts.
The greek Sapphites note: on second thoughts, the defence had better be based on the same claim; after all the homosexual women of the globe are affiliated to the island of Lesbos and honour it as their cradle.
Our first line of defence-thought was the fact we didn't sefl-identify as lesbians before the whole hetero world called as lesbian, along with great documentation from the best greek and international dictionaries..
